“My Sister and I signed up for Carol’s 5 day hiking package and our great enjoyment of it was mostly due to Carol’s wonderful enthusiasm, gentle encouragement up the steeper terrain, delightful companionship and local knowledge. Many thanks Carol!! We’ll be sure to do it again sometimes.” Julie and Sally (from New Zealand)
What I like about Hiking with Carol the most, is she keeps everyones needs in mind. I am a “senior” hiker and needed to take my time more than some others. I always felt safe and part of the group even though others were much speedier than I. The entire group under Carol’s lead was so compassionate and caring. It inspired me to keep training and hiking even more! Sarah L. (Los Angeles)
“ I grew up with homeopathy. Now, living far away, I communicate on skype with Carol (my Mom) to help my own two daughters. It saves me many trips to the doctors office and unwanted side effects from medications.” (Cayce Briggs, Damariscotta, Me)
Our hiking trip was fantastic! Challenging, fun, beautiful and Carol did a terrific job planning and orchestrating our time together, with flexibility to accommodate the group and individuals. Nice accommodations and tasty food, fun side trips. Would definitely recommend signing up with Carol! (Susan Epstein, Ca)
“I’ve years of yoga classes with Carol Janelle I can delightfully say she is my all time favorite teacher. No two classes are the same, always a good workout, good music and new thoughts to mull over. This is a treasure of a teacher. I have also used Carol’s talent as a homeopathy practitioner several times, I strongly indorse her knowledge and depth of ability. She miraculously turned around a case of extreme vertigo (I was unable to even stand up) within hours. I feel total gratitude.” Judy Macy (Ojai)
“Carol Janelle, CCH, is board certified in classical homeopathy. I have known Carol for many years, being one of her first homeopathic teachers in 1990. Through her homeopathic practice of many years she has helped many people of all ages restore their health. Homeopathy is a truly holistic way of creating balance and order in the emotional and physical realm. Carol brings to her practice a life experience as a mother, yoga instructor and professional homeopath, and is one of the most compassionate people I have met. She has my wholehearted endorsement.”

Having lower back pain problems for weeks due to sciatica I was so uncomfortable. I was challenged even getting in and out of my car. Within 24 hours after seeing Carol and taking a remedy, my discomfort was gone! George M. (Ojai, Ca)
I went to Ojai to get some hiking in but experienced so much more. Hiking with Carol is a full experience. From Morning chakra and energy exercises, to ceremonies, stretching, and breathing, to foot soaks and poetry. It was all a joy. Miles and miles in the mountains felt like a challenge many times but the pace and care made it nourishing and rejuvenating at the same time. Highly recommend the experience of hiking with Carol in Ojai!

It was awesome I never hiked so far or so high…and yet I did it! I was so happy at the end of the day to soak my feet! Thank you Carol!

I had a 3 day hiking experience with Carol Janelle through the Oaks at Ojai. It was my first long distance hiking experience and I was so lucky (and probably spoiled forever!) to have Carol lead me on my new adventure. She took us on beautiful trails, made sure we were well fed and hydrated and made us laugh a lot. She challenged us physically and made each moment memorable and fun. She’s a wonderful guide, a beautiful soul and has a great spirit of adventure. You will enjoy every moment with her!- Sue Flocco (Gendale, Ca)
Carol was our guide on a group hike in the mountains of Ojai in 2014. We were an eclectic group of four on that full day hike. What made it special and unique was the fun and enthusiasm of Carol. Her energy was infectious and propelled us along. Carol’s planning, logistics and attention to the many details needed that happened in the background and out of sight was wonderful– so that we could just focus on enjoying the hike. This included the personal gear to bring (not to duplicate the large amount of gear carried by Carol), proper shoes/clothing, food preferences, directions, timetables, etc. All we had to do was enjoy nature and the company of the rest of the hikers – but, mostly, Carol’s boundless energy and love of life!– Peter Macy (South Africa)
